I read the article before you posted it. Sounds like A Syd Wilson scenario. Seems like the NCAA made the right call.
 
I haven't followed the Sid Wilson saga since he's dead to me now (all things Yukon) but It'd be interesting if the NCAA handled both cases differently or applied the same standard.

The difference, IMO, is that Ohio State fired Beverly's coach, after he started taking classes. His reason for going to OSU no longer existed.

Wilso, OTOH, just didn't like it here, so he got up and left. Mullin is still here, so IMO, Wilson should be treated like a regular transfer.
 
It's no different than if a kid played out an entire academic year, and then tried to play the next season somewhere else. That kid sits whether he loses his coach or not.
