The Ultimate St. John's Fan Survey

I thought some of you might like to get a sense as to what some of the responses have been. I must admit, some of the responses surprised me, while others were exactly what I expected. The first thing that surprised me was the number of people who took the survey. I expected a number in the upper 20s to low 30s but as of now there have been over 90 responses. As for the survey:

Of the St. John's fans who took the survey 57% are alums, 39% are fans/friends of the program, but only 3.45% are students.

As far as attending games; 25% are season tickets holders & 38% attend as many games as possible. 36% live out of the NY metro area.

No surprise that 51% of the fans started following SJU in the Carnesecca era, with 36% either during the Lapchick era or right after the Looie era. There were 3 people who claimed they go back to the days at DeGray gym, God bless you ; )

Rally chants, no real surprise here 75% for Lets Go Redmen (so why can't we get that chant back at the games lol)

Homes games, no surprise here 40% say MSG, another 34% say where ever SJU plays they will follow.

50% are mostly St. John's basketball fans but follow a few other SJU sports

Former Big East rivals; I expected a Syracuse runaway but 50% dislike them and 42% dislike UConn the most.

Current original Big East rivals, that was a landslide with Georgetown at 71% (Seton Hall 12% & Villanova 11%)

The new additions Big East schools is very close: 29% dislike DePaul, 26% Marquette & 22% Xavier.

The biggest "no surprise" is the source of info; 86% rely on from Redmen.com. :cheer:

What about "Here we go Redmen, Here we go!"

I believe that any chants today that include "Redmen" are partially acts of defiance from our many fans who were children of the 60's and 70's where students protested everything.
