Can we beat them?
Can we beat them?
Absolutely. They are playing well. But, its all about matchups and they don't have the type of team or have a type of player that will physically dominate us.

You must have missed the game against Uconn. Herb Pope had 15 pts and 8 rebounds. Drummond had 4 points.
The Hall's starting five is clicking on all cylinders right now. Hope they blow a fuse by the time we play them.
I don't think Williard is a good coach at all, Iona has improved since he left. Seton Hall is getting great play from Pope and Theordore, which nobody thought would happen. If you can stop those Two, they can be beaten pretty easily. Syracuse did just that. Now, not a lot of teams have Syracuses' talent.

So Iona improved because Willard left but SHU is "getting great play from Pope and Theodore which nobody thought would happen" and Willard had no influence on their improvement? I think your logic is just a bit flawed, I also think clearly Iona has better talent than when Willard was there two years ago and there is the rub, can Willard recruit at the BE level? We shall see, but he is an excellent coach. Finally, there are many, many college teams that can be beaten if you stop their two best players, just as there are many, many college teams that lose to Syracuse.
I recall a few posts recently suggesting we break away from the football schools and drop Seton Hall from the the conference.
Looking at the current standings, it would appear we should kick out vanillanova, not the Hall.

You forgot the addition of Momo Jones to Iona. Never hurts to add a high D1 player if you're a midmajor team.
