Finally catching up on the excellent FX series "The Americans". Very well done series built around Russian spies in the US in early 1980s.

Was curious about the background of Annet Mahendru, the young woman who plays a (sexy) Russian operative. Quite a resume: speaks six languages and earned her BA at SJU before moving on to acting.

If you're looking to kill some time this summer, the series (and Annet) are worth watching.
 
good catch. I heard the series was slated to be cancelled but then got renewed for a second season. definitely an adult show i.e. I would not recommend watching with kids around.

They do, indeed, push the limits of what you might see/hear on network television. But very engaging, along the lines of Homeland and others.

I just started watching the show. Saw the 1st 3 episodes tonight. Excellent show.

Not as good as Homeland but excellent nonetheless
