Thank You Rick Matt and rest of staff

You killed it in the portal again. Couldn’t be happier

Portal Combat isn’t easy. Have never been happier as a St Johns fan the last year
Even w the $ to compete, the portal process is exhausting, brutal with a lot of bumps in the road. Matt deserves big credit for planting seeds early and aggressively working the player and agent networks relentlessly.
Great point about Fr Shanley and the big donors too
I sent a gift and thank you card to the Dominican brain surgeon who pushed Father Shanley out of Providence. What a stroke of good luck and the FS was the lead domino to get the program back where it belongs.

We talk about Rick, Father Shanely, Ed Kull, and Mike Repole all the time, and rightfully so.

Matt, IMO, is the unsung hero of this program. He was always ahead of the game, transfer wise, when he was on staff. Maybe too far ahead of his time on that, since there was no transfer portal back them.

His knowledge of the transfer market is unmatched, IMO, a is a great benefit to us, now.

Very true. He was born for this portal and transfer environment

Feels good to be done on 4/24. Get everyone here ASAP to gel and let’s get to work.
Done??????? No, no, no.

Get that final piece of the starting rotation then, and only then, will they be done.

Yes Matt and St. John's killed it but not done by a long shot. If he goes into the draft then yeah, I guess SJU is done.

It’s done. Be happy. Boogie is an extreme longshot at this point. If you wanna get your hopes up no one is stopping you.

As for Boogie, while some would say he would be too good to pass up, if available, I think there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. If he were to come here, I could easily see that there would not be enough shots to go around and some issues in the clubhouse. I think we are loaded and should go out and play with who we have (adding a substitute big for depth and development). JM2C

big question on everyone's mind now....

whos matt targeting for 26-27' ?????? i want names!!! lol
In some seriousness, last March/April/May and even before that the names Ian Jackson, Bryce Hopkins, and Dillon Mitchell came up as targets or potential targets for last year's roster. Obviously none of those came to fruition then but did a year later.

So at least a couple of next year's targets are names that are already familiar.

Gut feeling, we'll be watching more Georgia games
