I'd really like a good answer as to why the NCAA treats SJU as a sceond class citizen, and why big programs that seem to have obvious issues seem to get a pass or slap on the wrist when SJU gets its feet held to the fire every time?

Aside from the injustice to the kids involved, why is SJU seemingly singled out as a bad actor, when we have really only had 1 period of a few years when we have ever had any incidents or issues?

If someone could answer that, I would really like to know.

Just my opinion after the 1951 scandal the NCAA wanted college basketball games out of public arena particularly MSG. SJU and NYU continued to play at the garden. Currently and for many years SJU has rented MSG but I think back in late 1930s, 1940s and early 1950s the local colleges SJU, NYU, CCNY and LIU were paid a fixed amount per appearence at MSG. In effect MSG was acting as a promoter in some respects. The NCAA was looking for a scapegoat and NYC would fit the bill.

An additional annoyance to NCAA was the stipend SJU was allowed. When CCNY and LIU discontinued major college basketball SJU was either the only or most prominent school utilizing the stipend.
