noticed this kid has us listed but we haven't offered. any idea if the staff is purusing or any feedback on him

 Not his biggest fan.

We can definitely afford to wait for the right point guard. Branch is top-notch, and Greene and Harrison will only get better.

I'm very impressed with Harrison's handle and vision. I think we'll see more of him with the ball in his hands as other step up their scoring. The kid is going to be unguardable running pick and rolls as his game advaces.

Samuels isn't the answer. But Branch is still largely unknown( hes played 10 games in college, none better than 6pts and 6 assists) and aside from height, Harrison's biggest weakness is his lack of court vision. Far from being a strength, he needs to learn to pass out those pick and rolls. Last year he was incapabable of finding his pick man after he turned the corner he just put his head down.

Ball movement held us back as much as anything. Hopefully Branch can help change that. But I wouldn't say we can afford anything at this point.

Harrison was great at finding the open man once he got into the lane IMO. Had a ton of great passes this past year but his primary objective was to score

Harrison's vision was his weakness? His vision for a two guard is off the charts. Some of the passes he made after drawing the defense on drives to basket were insane.

 Samuels has committed to UConn.

Calhoun still has a lot of clout.

I think it's Kevin Ollie. He's on fire right now.

"on fire" is a bit of an overstatement I think. No top 100 recruits just yet.

Do you mean Top 10?

Omar Calhoun and Kentan Facey.

Facey just cracked the top 70 in one or two rankings after committing to Uconn. Omar Calhoun is a Jim Calhoun recruit and not a new recruit at all. Nolan and Samuel not in top 100. Again, that is not "on fire" for a school of Uconn's stature. Not even close.

Historically this is right in line with their recruiting. They get 3 and 4 star kids and every couple of years land a 5 star kid. If they can get a big fish this is the kind of class they win with. It's not a Kentucky level class, but it's pretty decent.

Yeah, but this is a far cry from Drummond, Daniels and Boatright type of class. The main difference is that the guy who won with those type of classes is on his way out soon. Not sure Ollie can follow suit with those types of classes. Ollie will need to find a way to appeal to th big fish when Calhoun is no longer on the sidelines.
