Survey from the athletic department re: seating

I recently got a survey from the Athletic Department, I'm assuming most here did as well.
What did you think of it?
Sounds like the school is thinking of requiring a certain level "donation" to be eligible for the lower level seats at CA and maybe doing away with the points system.

If it raises extra revenue, I assume they'll move ahead with it regardless of our responses. But what did you think of the survey? I know similar programs have been very successful at Louisville and elsewhere.

To be quite honest about it, I'm offended by the thought that the university would consider increasing the seating price for premium seats. I've been a season ticket holder for the last 33 years and during the last 32 years have purchased 4 season tickets. I've been thru the good times and the lean times and supported the program as a Chieftain, Redman and Red & White Club member. When many of our fans bailed on the team when it was dreadful I remained loyal and supportive. I also helped set up a scholarship fund for my deceased partner, at the school of law over 20 years ago. The university never offered to reduce the price of tickets when the product was terrible and for them to want to raise the prices now when the team is turning the corner is offensive to me. If they decide to charge a "premium" for my seats at I would consider giving up my season tickets.

I received the same survey and it had the aroma of PSLs (personal seat licenses) through which the price of my beloved Jets season tickets catapulted well beyond my reach.

If this is in fact what they have in mind it is just one more example of the old adage that nothing fails like success.

Great post I was a season ticket holder & REDnWhite also but gave up the tickets in disgust when they started the unfair pts system under the losing Norm yrs . Many longtime season tic friends dumped them too

Monasch should have grandfathered all R&W season ticket holders as long as they donate a$1000 per yr.
This would help keep all the loyal fans instead he tried a shakedown that lost our schools best fans :blink

This has caused attendance at the garden to be embarassing for BE games

ITs time to hire a Smart Athletic director that spends less time at beachbum tanning B)

Same thing happened with our tickets. The point system put my dad over the edge while they were putting a terrible product on the court.

that stupid move during norms years cut the season tickets in half easy,
