I'm certianly not a first responder, but I too like that the site is up.
I'm certianly not advocating forgetting about the terrible events of 11 years ago, and the memorials and tributes from today are/were great. I do think, however, that the best way to stick it to those lowlifes who attacked us, is to try to keep this day as regular as possible. Go to work, school, etc. Watch baseball. That's the best way to show people that we are still strong, IMO.

Without disrespect to any dissenting opinion, I've appreciated Paul's decision to not have us engage in the trivial banter of sports and instead turn our thoughts to the horrific events of 9-11-01 that irrevocably affected all of us. Simply to come here and find the site wasn't available is a sign to me that while our attention focuses on those events, there are more than 3,000 children lost a parent, and hundreds of thousands more a loved one. For them 9-11 merely annualizes a daily grief to endure.
My brother is a cop and my dad is a volunteer fireman ( 50 years this year ) and I remember vividly them going that 1st day and my brother working on the pile for weeks.
(You all ) first responders are heroes under any circumstances. Just as I always try to tell people I see who are or were in the service when I"m out and I run into them, I say the same to you. Thanks for your service
