From Lottery Prospect To 3 Years In prison! What Happened to RYSHEED JORDAN

Father Rock and Steve Lavin, in particular did not turn their backs on Rysheed when it was all too easy to do.  Father Rock in particular is as true a priest as anyone could hope for, and preaches mercy, forgiveness, and redemption not just for our athletes, former athletes, and students, but for anyone he encounters.   He is not just our AD chaplain, he's an essential part of our SJU community.

There's plenty of time for Rysheed to lead a successful and productive life, and it appears he is taking the necessary steps to do so.   I hope he makes it.

I sat with Alan Huston for the Duke, St Johns game. He said that Rysheed was good enough at that time to be on an NBA team.

One of my clients volunteered in prison ministries in Oklahoma. He once reminded me that some incarcerated men are forever impacted by a single act that took seconds to complete.

Heard some really bad stuff. Hope it's not true.

Beast, over the years my students and patients have included many recovering ball players with bb skills and incarceration histories, including NBA draft choices and all-city and all-state players.  Together they would probably beat many STJ teams.
