What Pitino and co have done so quickly is really amazing. To be clear this could not have happened - not even Pitino coming here - without Storm Marketing getting there first raising enough money last year to get rolling, then locking down a few dozen large NIL supporters both company and individual sponsors. In the past 6-8 months they've worked tirelessly to build this base of big donors that gave Pitino some money to work with. Storm has committed more NIL than they've raised, but are very comfortable that they will meet their commitment.

When we write about the resurgence of SJU basketball, they deserve a chapter or two, even if other collectives pop up. Without Vin and Storm, this doesn't happen.

Please consider hopping on board with support within your comfort zone. It's already a great ride- be a part of it.

See now stuff like this would certainly sway me. Need to get something in return and meeting team players and coaches potentially does change my mind on the idea.

Although I do not think fans should be providing for NIL I certainly do appreciate the efforts of storm marketing and vin.
I agree with your sentiments about individuals supporting NIL but those are the rules that teams are playing by. Xavier and Creighton are the top 2 NIL fund raising programs I've been told, and Villanova and Georgetown are not far behind.

Right now vollege basketball players are in an era of virtual free agency, selling themselves to the highest bidders. It's 100% why Gardner and Storr left.

Teams that raise the most can attract the best players, period. Pitino can pitch a discounted NIL, and sell players on the proven ability to improve players to get them into the first round of the NBA draft. In other words, come here for a little less $$ and the payoff can be huge for you.

Right now, Rick says he has 7 players with the potential to be 2nd round nba draft picks. He has told each of them if they work their asses off and improve, they can move to 1st round caliber.

For the first time in legal college sports history, fans can impact the types of players we can get here. Matt estimates we will need to raise $2.5 -$3 million annually to create an elite program. If you are invested as a fan and can help, that should be incentive enough.

But to be certain, access to players and coaches has already been part of Storm Marketing's plan and coach Pitino is all in on this.

Apologies if I should be able to figure it out, but can you provide a link to them?

I’ve known Vin since our days at St. John’s we graduated around the same time . He is doing something really special . Fantastic event tonight . View attachment 1185
I can attest that Vin is a good dude. Had an issue with my contribution, emailed Vin and he fixed me up right away.

NIL funding is the only way we'll stay relevant, so contribute if you can.
