Was supposed to watch. My dad was supposed to be sitting behind the bench. I'll assume they didn't show the inaugaral Ronald LaValle Memorial Scholarship ceremony at halftime.

A great man from a legendary family. A doctor friend knew him well at Stony Brook University Hospital.

Not sure how to respond to this as legendary is a bit much. But Mike, he clearly wasn't talking about me. Let's just say Ron is missed. 

PS you just refuse to put that "u" in my handle, still, eh?

 Mike, just for some history Ron was an all american lacrosse player in college in the '60s and an assistant coach at Stony Brook under the guy before Sowell. His college lacrosse nickname was Spider.
