Wow.. he was there 10 years. I guess he succeeded Dick Laskowski, who was really the architect of the move from D3 to D1. I didn't realize that it's been 10 years since Laskowski (who played baseball at SJU and holds 4 degrees from St. Johns) stepped down.
Something does not smell right here. They bought out his contract for $800,000 when it appears everything is going well athletically. Binghamton cleaned house after their cocaine scandal following their NCAA tournament appearance but that was all over the NY Times.

I agree - something doesn't smell right
On the surface, he did a great job of improving their athletic program and facilities
His name was mentioned as a potential candidate for the Rutgers AD job
I wonder what happened.....
