I know there is a florida thread somewhere but I definitely remember some guys live on the west coast here so not sure how close you guys are to the storm but Greg Bodkin I remember he said he lives in Longboat Keys and I think maybe that's close to the storm path and I think Paultz lives west coast and while sjc88 might be here now I know he has place down there too so hope you all ride out the storm like a Pitino final 4 team. I live on the East coast. But I am working this week in Pensacola. I believe the storm will be east of me. Pensacola really is west.

for those of you keeping score. section10 1 - idalia 0.
i live in venice. 5 miles east of the gulf.
storm came through at 70 mph, ian was 156 mph. 3 inches of rain. its raining now. now 32 mph winds.
i just did a walkaround. no visible damage. ian cost me a roof and 11 lanai screens.
my American flag proudly waves through the dawns early light.

Seems like we dodged a bullet, although I don't have a final determination as yet. We're a little south of Section 10. Should know for sure by tomorrow. Thought wind speeds were less than he recorded, however.

We were lucky in Central Florida, storm went a little farther west sparing the Tampa area. We just have winds and rain now.
