Staff Accolades

ESPN named the staff the #1 Pick Up team of all the staffs in college basketball and they didn't even mention Zendon.

That's because, as a volunteer assistant, he's not officially a staff member. (Although I admit that it bothers me somewhat that I never hear his name mentioned on TV when the camera's right on him.)

Does that mean he paid his own way to Hawaii? How does that work? I knew he was a vol assistant but your post got me wondering.

Haven't a clue, austour. Just referencing what I've heard/read before.

Bill Walton mentioned during one of our games that we were the only team where a donor actually paid for a charter flight for our school, so I'm assuming he was paid for by the donor.
 
My understanding is that Barry Rohrssen was a pretty good high school player and was good enough to play in college at St. Francis University for one or more seasons.
 
This further reinforces my belief that we are definitely headed in the right direction. We just need to keep reminding ourselves not go crazy this year when we all know it will be a somewhat challenging one for the team. But the furure is so bright, I need my sunglasses at night! B)
 
Has anyone noticed that when the staff gets mentioned during games, etc Matt A is rarely mentioned. Zen and Mitch Richmond get mentioned all the time. St. Jean often. I wonder his thoughts about that.

Matt A is too busy busting his rear end recruiting to pause and worry about something like that.

I fail to see any correlation between this list and conversation and any of the benchmarks I might set for a college basketball staff but to each his own. :p
