St. John's Students to Open Drive In Movie / Hicksville, Long Island

I think it is a great idea! A while back I was reminiscing with redmanwest about the good times my family had at the Westbury Drive-in. It's a lot bit of Americana that I miss. I've been to drive-ins all over the country. Up in Maine we were regulars battling the mosquitoes from entering our car at the Saco Drive In. I was in a remote part of New Mexico years ago and I stayed a a motel that was designed so that all of the windows of the rooms faced a drive in screen and there were speakers in your room. It was odd and cool. I was thinking recently that Drive-ins might make a comeback in our coronavirus new world order.
