Maybe can we have a sticky thread where people can put links to St Johns Podcasts ? Someone put up links a month ago or so to the guy Phavre Phan and he has some excellent podcasts. A friend of mine sent me a link tonight to this other guy and I only listed to 2 so far but he has the best DLO interview I have heard. A GREAT listen !!! What mature guy DLO has become. Aside from just great overall perspective on life in Europe etc he gave some really interesting info. He still speaks to Lavin twice a week, first time he saw Mullin on campus they played hoops or horse and Mullin won 22-12 and Anderson recruited him in high school so he was very familiar with CMA. His first year overseas was a six figure contract and he played Marv in the preseason and speaks to some of the current players and always wants to be there for our guys

He also talked about down the road aspirations to be an assistant coach. IMO just from the personality point what a mentor he would make to kids

Seeing red is a more conservative , fact based pod that just lays it out . “Detes” the phavre pod is more fun, light , fluid . Phavre got cragg to come on among others . Both are good listens. In the days of social media , ect . Any thing like this increases exposure to the program.
 
Good analysis on the podcasts. This is an increasingly popular medium to discuss things and it can be more fun than reading posts since it's more like a real conversation. I like both podcasts and they run their own so they can do whatever they want, but I just think the Phavre one tries a bit too hard at times to be edgy with the "d*uche" stuff. Good comedy isn't forced but he does have some funny moments that have been fun to listen to. I'm glad Zach decided to go on...he has come across as pompous and a "know it all" to fans as if we know nothing because we aren't media but glad to see him open up and be more light. Speaking of being arrogant to fans...that's the exact reason I could never listen to Francesa for too long. He'd have callers waiting an hour or more to get on the show and ask a legitimate question and he'd belittle them and mock them as if he's just above them. I thought Goodman kind of redeemed himself a bit and I agree with him more than I would've thought. He just wants to see real results e.g. Sweet 16, top 25 on the regular, top 25 recruiting classes before buying some Johnny stock. The thing I still ardently disagree with him on is the notion that you need a NYC metro area guy for the job. Anderson said it best, this is a national brand...we want a national reach. If we get kids in NYC area then great, but almost every single top 50 NYC area kid leaves. We need to recruit anywhere and everywhere. Go look at Greece for all I care...just get the guys that have real talent and are a real fit.

He is funny and he has had some excellent guests. Even the ones he does with other twitter guy interviews end up being real Phunny. The one he did with that guy Looper was hysterical

Guys i decided to join the craze and make a podcast. Game recaps about 10-15 minutes. Not formal, just sharing my thoughts (it’s called talking to yourself Amase) and would love to hear counter points and disagreements. I know I want to hear as much St. John’s stuff as possible and find myself listening to anything I can throughout the week so I figure some of you might as well.

Nice job Amaseinyourface! The Board has some talent I see. Excellent radio voice. :) I like you reference to Duke as Duke of Earlington. I think our board Duke would appreciate the shout out. Look forward to future Podcasts. I can imagine after a tough loss you’ll have to breathe deeply before starting.

Just listened to your podcast after the LaSalle games Amase. Really enjoyed it; please keep it up. Always good to listen to something summing up our team after a game, especially when it's done as professionally and concisely as your was.
