St Johns/Duke entire 1999 game

With the snow about to come tonight and tomorrow sit back and

watch the 1/24/1999: #2 Duke Blue Devils at #8 St. John's

 
Hearing the crowd while watching this game makes me hope (even more) that Johnny fans haven't dumped their tickets for Sunday. I know it's not a fair comparison since we came into the 1999 game ranked #9. That said, it's Duke, it's our seniors and the nation is watching. Let's show up.
 
That was one of the best games I'd been to. That year was a lot of fun. I was so zoned in and at the edge of my seat I hardly realized bootsy dropped 40. Left the garden that day really proud of our effort even in a loss.
 
I was there too, I remember it was a noon tip on a Sunday- they weren't selling beer until the game started.
 
kind of ironic that we practically played 6 guys that game and no one on our roster happened to be taller than 6'9. Just so happened that we were going against a pretty talented Duke big as well.
