St. John's Archives / Campus Design

Cool. Thanks for sharing.

So much for sticking to the plan. That original one from '36 with the full Gothic look was sharp.

Campus has improved a lot in recent years, but what I never liked is inconsistent style, shape, color, material of all the buildings. Marillac Hall exterior reminds me of a hospital.

When I worked at st. John's I was told that whenever they put up a new building whatever was the least expensive color brick was used. Thus marillac was that yellowish color and st. Al's gray.

Boston college stayed true with gothic architecture, stone edifices and slate roofs throughout. The newest dorms however, only have stone accents

Marillac needs to go. And I don't mean to Johnny Jungle where he belongs. Just kidding but both those buildings should have exterior makeovers using glass for a modern look.
