Sorry, but the notion that there are 347 teams that will end the season unhappy except the champion of the D 1 tournament is a load of crapola. This is a comment he has made frequently of late on other pod casts as well. Cragg is just saying that to imply that St. John's fans are not the only ones unhappy at the end of the season and that we as fans are not alone. Come on now, that implies that the St. Peters players and fans, the final four teams, the many mid majors that won their conference tourneys to make the Dance, etc. etc. etc. are unhappy as well. Sure, there may have been a number of higher level seeds that may have not advanced as far as they would have liked who may have been "unhappy" but the vast majority of teams were thrilled just to be part of the tourney. Not to mention a number of NIT teams who were happy to get that invite as well. What's concerning here is that Cragg really believes that making such an idiotic statement will lesson the disappointment of this past season for the many true fans of the program. One only need to read this site to realize that such a comment won't fly.

On a positive note, what I was pleased to hear Cragg say, when discussing the NCAA tourney, he emphatically stated..."when we make the Dance next year....." I interpret that to mean that that is the only acceptable outcome of next year's St. John's basketball campaign.
