St. John’s Mourns the Passing of Jack Franzetti ’45UC, ’46G, ’56Ph.D.

I received this sad news via e-mail today.

I had the honor of taking two courses with Dr. Franzetti. He was so passionate about teaching.

Coincidentally, I went to elementary school with his grandson, and later found out one of his sons was also a dentist I had gone to a few times.

Rest in Peace.

I also had Dr. F for a couple classes. He was a terrific teacher. More than that, he seemed to have a real interest in his students. I went to him for wise counsel on a couple occasions and always felt he would help steer a student toward good decisions and answers.

I'm sad to learn of his passing and grateful to have learned from him.
