With all eyes focused on recruiting a couple of gigs, I haven seen one word on recruiting any small forwards . we are down to one, Bashir. Are any of our current players capable of playing the or do we look elsewhere.?

Depending upon the matchups, I think we will see both Simon and Clark at the 3 in various lineups especially if we get a serviceable Big. How about closing out a game with 1) Lovett, 2) Ponds, 3) Simon 4) Clark 5) Owens ? :)

Clark if he is playing alongside of a combination of Owens, Yakwe, Alib or two other bigs (to be named later I hope).

Simon if we go with a three guard look.

I'm a big proponent at needing 3 big time players in order to win at this level, relative to the competition. While there may be exceptions to this rule, my hope is that either Simon, or maybe Clark can step it up. Except for SImon, not really confident that Clark will be more than a really solid player at best.

Ahmed is a guy you need on a developing team, not afraid to put up shots and will score points. If he is that 3rd guy next season, we may only be marginally better than last year's squad. I suspect if he loses minutes to Simon and Clark the team will be better overall.

I agree, but I am holding out hope that Ahmed will improve. He just needs to undertsand that offense is about motion and ball movement. When he gets the ball, stops, sets, watches the defense catch-up, and then drives the lane into triple coverage......he should be pulled and left on the bench for 10 minutes. Mullin did a little of that this year. Hopefully the message will finally penetrate.

.....cue Fun with Ahmed's stats.
