SJU vs Pitt Game Thread

12 Noon on Sunday at MSG. My favorite color announcer John Celestand will be calling the game on MSG if your not able to make it. I will be there with my group of 6 in section 110.
 
Does it really matter if he starts? He could start, pick up 2 quick fouls and be on the bench. I like the lineup with 2 legit 3 pt threats on the floor, if CO starts it probably means Marco sits. Either way CO will get his minutes.

oh and I'm guessing this game is a pk

I'd rather he come off the bench. If one of their bigs starts doing damage, just bring him in. I thi it's best to out our best offensive lineup on the floor if we can right from the start. Offense and getting a lead is defense. If the opponent starts picking us apart inside, we insert the best shotblocker in American and spoil their plans. I don't think we need to start Obekpa at all. I think he's best saving himself for at least a few minutes, so he can watch what is going on and avoid early fouls. They certainly are bigger, but we will likely need to use good team-d and some zone anyway, to keep their bigs off balance.

you saw Pointer bring the ball up against Louisville right? Greene needs to play. And how come those of us watching on TV knew Branch would be out for a long time yet they tell us it's day to day? Day to day is now week to week.
 
This will be my first game since we beat Nova on the road during the 2010-2011 season. Going with my Dad and brother. Let's go Redmen!!!!!

Harrison would be bringing it up for me, in that lineup, at least at the beginning. Once we got it past halfcourt, I'd like to see some of the ball movement we got in the first half Wed. night.

Bottom line, one of the reasons we lost the Georgetown, Syracuse, and Louisville games was because, with Obekpa not starting, they torched us for easy baskets inside early. I think we need to get off to a good start in this one.
 
I'll be there with my fiance who I met at UConn but converted her into a St. John's fan like me!
 
I will be there with my dad and possibly a friend or two. Lets wear red and be loud, the team deserves it and country needs to see it, because We Are New York's team, We Are St. John's!
 
HUGE game for us. I wish I was in the area so I could attend. I hope you all go and make some noise. Damn, this is a big game!
