SJU/Nike

OMG Nike is going to change us to blue. Everyone is going to revolt :silly: :woohoo: :whistle:
 
Generally I like the UA design but their options have been pretty limited. ~5 plus years ago I bought a #11 Harrison jersey, a hoodie and a regular t-shirt. Haven't bought anything since.

The team has a lot of awesome apparel that they wear during warm ups, practices, etc. Hopefully the public can get those type of designs too rather than just the generic SJU logo on all red clothing.

I'd like to buy tee or golf shirts that say St John's basketball on them

I am a self-confessed gear junkie and I've been eagerly awaiting some sort of formal announcement on this rumored switch. I've been holding off any wardrobe upgrades in anticipation. Eager to see what Nike rolls out for us...

Doubtful because of timing. Design and production for on court apparel usually has long lead time. Likely out of the gate will be basics and I'm sure they are working on more out of the box things moving forward.

Why hype up the announcement date like that and then not have a single thing to sell today? I assume production time, but still. July seems like the time to get a lot of impulse buys since we are anxious for anything St. John's related but still 4 months away from the season starting. I was planning to buy today but once the season starts I might not care as much and will likely wait for a sale instead (especially because it sounds like the initial products will be the same thing just with the Nike check mark rather than UA's logo). Oh well, I expect merch around October at the latest. That'd still be a fine time to drop it.

About time!

It was a sad state of affairs under UA when you couldn’t get St. John’s gear other than going to the University or ordering it online.

I used to walk into sports stores and see gear of many teams but never St. John’s. And I’m not talking just top tier programs either.

Hopefully, Nike will change that z
