My quick take: my favorite player this year was Kadary. A brand new player who started off a bit slow, rarely showed emotion, but was a stone cold baller, who played hurt and never complained.Really is interesting on seeing familiar faces go. Kind of torn. Love the idea of freshman turning into upperclassmen.
Same time, if finish off recruiting strongly and perform as good or better next season, but 6 of 8 players are all new faces... vs. all returnees and we finish middle of conf and bubble team or miss. Which would you rather?
NmIronically I have more of a chance to root for guys for two or three years on the Knicks than on St. Johns. That is the transition we are all struggling with.
Spoiled like my son. Mets and St. John’s are both good for them!Driving to the Mets with my daughter we passed SJU on the way. I told her “Sim is leaving St. John’s.” She deadpan replied, “I don’t care, I only care about the players coming in.” Effing ruthless, she’s SIX.
