Should Harrison's Jersey Be Hung in CA?

A debate i was having the other day and thought I would pose the question here.

2,000 point scorer. Memorable personality. Made a great transformation as a person while here.

The argument against it, would be us not winning enough while he was here. What are your thoughts?


EDIT: by the way my opinion is we absolutely should! Ive only been following team for about 10 years now, but I don't think there will ever be a player i like more
 
While I agree with the winning thing I'd still put his Jersey up. Great player and a great transformation personally who is a fantastic representative of the school who other players and kids should look up to
 
Maybe some time down the road ... but in the meantime, there's a long waiting line ahead of him.
 
Yes, eventually he gets a banner with his name and number on it hung up at CA.
 
I'm a D'lo fan and appreciate his terrific career at St. John's. That said, I reserve the jersey hanging for the occasional program-defining player who comes along from time to time.

Should we have a wall of honor for the D'los, DJs, Hattens, Artests and so on? Sure.

But I'll save the jersey raising for the Mullin level.
 
One of my favorites but I say no for the same reason as Hatten. Didn't win enough. Had Lavin done even a halfway decent job D-Lo's junior year, he may have banked some NCAA wins because that team had the ability to be in the Sweet 16. And had Obekpa not been a horrible teammate and head case, D-Lo might at least have a NCAA victory.
 
Hang it in Taeffner and give him a bobblehead done the line....

but let's save the arena jerseys for legends....

Love the sentiment, Jack. We've had a slew of players at least as good but that doesn't diminish him. What id really love to see is a sju athletic HOF room on the order of the NY mets hof at citifield. If we could find the space at CA that would be anazing.
 
There is a long - long list of former StJ's players who deserve to have their jerseys hung from the rafters of CA before Mr. Harrison.

Unfortunately I don't think any of that "long list" come from the 17 years I've been a fan, or the 10 years that Jack mentioned.
 
The last player they honored with a banner in CA is Sealy. I think the #3 all time scorer in team history should have a banner. I also wonder why Felipe doesn't have one. Hopefully the new AD get's on top of this.
