We need somebody who can hit an open 3 pt shot on a consistent basis this year and next year or we will remain in the swamp.

Unless I’m mistaken both Boubacar and Mikey Dixon are very good spot up shooters.

I believe Boubacar struggles with handling, but he can shoot the ball consistently.

And Dixon can easily shoot it while creating his own shot as well.
 
Expect Ponds to improve his shooting. Keita also has a nice looking jumper and can hit the three. Though I'd expect staff to make him stay down low.

Diakite? I thought he was more of an athlete. Never heard he was a good shooter. If we’re relying on Keita to launch threes next year, we’re in trouble

Diakite is raw and from OSNA, I would only count on him for some back up minutes. Clark has a nice shot, but does not show the will to play on the inside. I see him at the 3 W Owens and Brooks and Keita at the 5 and 4. Brooks seems to have the inside game we are missing and Dixon can shoot. Fingers crossed for no major defections and the signing of Brooks. We look good on paper for next year. Also would like to bring in a top assistant.

Agree 100 percent, and regardless of how much improved some of our incoming players might be with their outside shooting, I don't see any of them filling the bill. (Besides, as we all know, making shots in practice and making them in a game are not the same.) Still of the opinion that the staff urgently needs to fill LoVett's slot with a true SF who has shown he's a consistent 3-point threat.

Keith has never taken a three pointer in college. Guy can’t miss.

Yeah because the staff makes all our current big guys stay down low...
 
We were supposed to have at least two this year, Ponds and Lovett. Unfortunately that has not worked out.
