Yes! Wichita St.!

I enjoyed watching Gonzaga fall as a #1 seed.

Now if Cal can upset Syracuse, it would make it a very pleasant night.

I feel each year they're overrated. They do well in their conference and choke in March. I still can't believe they were given a number 1 overall seed. If they played in any major conference they would win about 20 games a year.

Just one man's opinion, but I think you're shorting them six wins. They are a great program. Just always seem to run into trouble come tournament time.

maybe I just hate them cuz of how they beat us the last 2 times we made the tourney. ;-)

Technically our last two losses in the Tournament have come to Wisconsin & Gonzaga, but since the Wisconsin appearance was vacated, I guess you can say it was Gonzaga both times ; )

These posts bring back memories of Denver 2 years ago. One of our fans, who may post here, screamed at the top of his lungs each time David Stockton entered the game "HEY. WHAT'S A 12 YEAR OLD KID DOING ON THE COURT!!!!!!" It was funny every time, especially once it was clear we weren't going to win. I don't know him, but he was the loudest voice around section 74 (now 109) at MSG.

Again, perception is reality. Under Mark Few:

As a 10 lost a 6
As a 12 lost a 1
As a 6 lost an 11
As a 9 lost a 1
As a 2 lost a 10
As a 3 lost a 6
As a 3 lost a 2
As a 10 lost a 7
As a 7 lost a 10
As a 4 lost a 1
As an 8 lost to a 1
As an 11 lost to a 3
As a 7 lost a 2
As a 1 lost to a 9

In 14 tournaments, Gonzaga has lost a lower seed just five times. Considering their seed most years, they did very well. They made the Sweet 16 as a 10, 12, 3 and 4. Just three times they have lost their first game. One they were the lower seed. One was as a 10-7 and the 10 was Davidson's run to the Elite Eight. The other was a 6-11 to Wyoming that is a bad loss.

That Davidson game was awesome, particularly because I picked it correctly along with the Georgetown game.

Gonzaga was taking them to the woodshed, and McKillop called a timeout. The only thing he did was smile and ask the guys if they were having fun.

They kicked ass the rest of the way.

"They do well ... And choke in March." --- like Georgetown.

Ah, March! I only wish we were in an annual position to choke in March! LOL!
Anything can happen in March....in the NCAA! That is what makes the tourney worth watching. If it were always the same usual suspects, I would imagine fans and viewers would begin to tire. You can talk about Duke, Kentucky and UCLA all you want but America roots for the underdog. I hope we will be one of those underdogs next year.
