Donny (not Donyell by the way, NYP!) Marshall mentions multiple times how other teams need to be afraid of playing St. John's.

Also, great mentions for Posh, Champ, and coach Anderson and likely upcoming recruiting success at Union and Utopia.

Great read if you are a St. John's fan, even though he was a star at Uconn, he seems to be a fan of our program.

I love this time of year, as a college BB junkie, it's better than the Super Bowl, World Series combined, and way better than the NBA Finals or the Stanley Cup.

it was a great read besides the flattering comments on St. John's, Coach Anderson and Posh   I think he is a very good announcer.  I am sure he is right about people not liking him if he wasn't on their team (I know I didn't and neither did Charles Minlend).  I loved his best memory of the BE Tournament, however the thing that struck me was when talking about his father, "I learned so much from you but you taught me nothing.” I learned how to be a man, I learned how to be honest and faithful, I learned how to be a great friend, I learned how to be loyal, because he was none of those things."

I love every sport but, to me, there is nothing better than March Madness
Here's hoping that St John's is a participant in it this season
That would make a great event even greater!!!

Hated Donny when he was at UCONN, love him as a commentator.  Love and respect him more after readng that article.

Donny has turned out to be one of the most knowledgeable and entertaining(hilariously self-deprecating) analysts in all of college basketball. FWIW he's a member of Mensa. Having said all this, every time I hear someone say that other teams are afraid of playing us, I feel like it's the kiss of death.

Monte, coming from a Uconn guy, Donny saying this about "teams being afraid to play Johnnies" may not be the jinx it would be if it came from you or me.

Marshall a Mensa member, holy cow. High brow for that rinky dink school in Storrs where all they do is drink PBR and take bus trips to the Garden.
