Harrison's family was not in town for the ceremony. Surrounded by his fellow seniors.

I hope the cost of a trip to NY weren't the reason they couldn't attend, but I suspect it might be. One could only hope that someday, the NCAA with their grubby large hands clasped tightly to billions of dollars will relax their grip on greed and allow for such event as yesterday to be funded by universities profiting off the backs of student athletes.

I for one, was looking forward to applauding D'Angelo's grandmother, who was a significant player in pleading his case to Lavin at the time of his suspension, and maybe even his brother who despite his own transgression has encouraged D'Angelo on a daily basis.

D'angelo's grandmother was here last week and returned to Texas. Not sure why she couldn't make it up for Senior day.

The guy who came out with D'Lo was announced as Tristan Anderson. No idea who that is though.

Tristan Anderson, Harrison’s mentor and former AAU coach, says Harrison’s tempestuous personality has always been an issue for him, and that the current punishment might actually do him some good.

“I love D’Angelo to the utmost but sometimes he needs a little pull on the collar to snap him up,” Anderson told SNY.tv by phone. “All that’s gonna do is make D’Angelo more hungry. If anything, it’s helping him.”
