What an ending for Phil. Dlo so hot in the middle.

Overcame adversity today. Real happy for these guys today. Congrats all around to kids and staff
 
Phil has been killed on this board, but his shooting tonight was the difference. If he can do that the rest if the season we are a different team.
 
The last 6 minutes I had that feeling I have missed about SJU basketball. The nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach on every possession. The willing of each shot to go in as it left Phil Greene's hand. Then that feeling of first relief than joy when you know it's finally over. I'm hoping I sold this team short. They won this game against a pretty talented team that doesn't get beat OOC at home. Great job, right down to the bench showing energy on every possession.
 
Does this mean there won't be a Fire Lavin thread until the next game? Damn this feels good, hey Syracuse, you should feel bad.
 
Some People been killing Marillac on the boards. Maybe he is right about the team

Yes, and you're right: "... and gasp Steven Lavin." Does the coaching staff maybe deserve a bit of a nod? I know Lavin would be getting slammed hard had there been a different outcome.

Best win of the Lavin era, imo. I hate Cuse so much that no other win could come close to matching this one. Seeing their fans walking out early was priceless.

They all played great. Greene was the man. I've been rooting for the Redmen since I was about 8. My neighborhood sent 2 very good players from Washington Heights to St. John's. I'm going to be 72 soon and it was a pleasure to see these kids play with their heart like the old guys did under Lapchick. and Louie.
 
This team has balls!!! plain and simple. Phil was money today, D-Lo and Dom both had the heart of a lion and CO was a workhorse on the D and on the boards!!
 
...also love to the officials tonight. I had no problems with the calls tonight, even when they went against us. Good job guys.
