Thanks Otis. These games will shape the final standings. Villanova and Prov are the leading contenders for a 5th place Big East finish. Both have 8 losses. Both have tough games after this contest. Barring a Seton Hall collapse, 5th place is the best we can do. The schedule favors us tying for 5th unless Prov or Nova win out to 12-8.
Xavier by all means is not dead, but at 8-9 have to win out for a share of 5th. They close with Marquette.
SHU - shoo in for 12-8 or better.
Nova - most likely dont win out
Prov - highly unlikely win out
sju - highly likely win out
xavier- unlikely to win out.

Villanova wins this weekend and sju is the overwhelming favorite for 5th. PC wins and it’s theirs to lose. Villanova would have to sweep @pc @sh and creighton to get 5th. So this game likely determines sju’s finish (assuming we don’t falter against DePaul and Georgetown).
