Please tell me what does it take to motivate this guy? Six Feet nine and he plays like Five Feet nine.

For us to succeed he must come to play every game and assert himself! Not sleep walk like he did today.

Any comments?

The book is out on him. Either leave him open, let him catch the ball, and then guard him immediately after the catch, or guard him, and if he catches the ball, back off. Either way, when that change happens, he is thrown off, and does not know what to do.

When they play 3 guard's, with Sampson and Sanchez the only F's, they're completely giving up the paint. They're both in love with the idea of a possessing mid-range games, which is fine, except that they completely abandon the idea of getting inside. So that leaves the offense with no 3-point shooters, and no inside presence.

you can't expect any of our players to reach their potential when they have an inept coach who doesn't put them in the proper place to succeed.

were our recruits overrated, or is it coaching? The cliche answer is a little bit of both but when all of our recruits don't show any progression it's probably more coaching.

His last year at Monroe he averaged 10 ppg 8 boards 2 assists and 2 blocks a game.
He is averaging 7 ppg 5 boards 2 assists and 1 block this year.

I got ripped for saying before the season not to expect much from Sanchez. I actually think he is playing better than I expected. I think he can score in the post if Jordan is allowed to run the offense and they run plays for him down low. Not sure if the coaching staff knows how to do that.

Can't say he's a bust, and these #s bear that out. He is what we probably should have expected. But, he's a complementary player, not a star. He needs to be used that way. Would love to see him commit himself to rebounding, and not look to score so much, but I guess he has NBA dreams swimming around in his head. Our biggest weakness in our bigs, among the other well documented issues. But, if we had just one rebound and D oriented big, a lot of things would different. CO could develop into that, but is afar from that now.
