The football powerhouse may be turning into a basketball powerhouse, too. I think they now have the #1 rated incoming class with the Sampson commit.

This one is a bummer for sure, but not the end of the world.

Lavin, Mullin - not sure we had a chance either way. From where we all stand (which means nothing), SJU is a much more attractive program today than it was when Sampson initially committed. Bottom line, it's tough to beat out the hometown school with the monster recruiting class they have this year.

Again, not the end of the world. We'll just have to show him what he's missing!
 
I have never seen such idiots on this site, been a St. John's fan forever, the only reason Mullin took this job was because the Kings passed him over for Divac for the major decision maker for the Kings. Lavin did a good job with the team, the AD really screwed up by not extending him or firing him before this last year, which really puts the new coach at a disadvantage. St. John's can not afford to be bad this year, they are going to Hawaii and besides Chaminade, they would be at least a 7.5 to 10 point dog to everybody including Vandy. Lavin needed to get Briscoe and it didn't happen. At. St. John's your not going to be involved in a lot of elite prospects. The over/under is 1.5 for the amount of top 50 prospects Mullin gets in his time at St. John's. Most smart people out here in Vegas think Mullin is going to be a disaster and by the way, what has Matt A ever done, most transfers to I State go play for Hoiberg, who has a fun style of play. No body knows Mullins style of play.

Did the Lav's get Brandon to sign a LOI?

You can't make an educated guess on anything that Mullin will do. All you can look at right now as that he was handed a program that had 1 signed player for a team that needed 4 new starters.

Most smart people in Vegas had UK winning the championship as well. Vegas is all about making money for themselves that day and not on predicting the future.

You also can't call people idiots when you make so many typos and grammatical errors.
