Roster and Bios

If Malik is 215 then Bashir is 225. Coaching staff not final but will be interesting to see if our cracker jack Red Storm
Dot Com staff updates anything. Nice to see only one walk on listed instead of 5 like under previous staff.

It still early for walk-ons. I don't think we knew about Diaw(?) being on the team this time around last year. Quite frankly I think we've made to big a deal about walk-ons in the past. The problem arises when they are counted on by posters or by the staff (which is a real problem). When that happens, they are bound to disappoint unless their name is Hornacek, Boeheim (yeah I know but he was a walk on who started in the same backcourt as Dave Bing) or Pippen.

Is this the third number change for Amar?

Wait, Freudenberg will be wearing No. 20?

WOW!!! No pressure there.

I had heard it was going to be Ponds wearing #20 (that was his high school number). I guess Freudenberg wore it, too, and maybe he won the coin toss, or something.

Mullin had approved of Ponds wearing it, from what I read. He probably did the same here. Smart, IMO. No use ticking off a recruit over a uniform number.

There is no possible way a recruit would be upset that an NBA HOFer, whose number had never been issued since he last wore it, wouldn't accede to a wish. IMO, if either of those guys had thought about it, they wouldn't have asked for it. I'm sure the number doesn't mean that much to Mullin, who wore #17 in the NBA because that was the great John Havlicek's number.

Mussini being listed at 6'2" has to be a joke....

St. John's measures players in their socks and sneakers. Just deduct an inch from every player and you will have their correct height. ;)

Amar's jersey number changes every year because he shows up on campus with new ridiculous haircut every year. :p

The NBA measures kids for the draft in socks and shoes so I'm sure that's the way these schools do it. But even with that, I think it's exaggerated by an inch or two.

Looking at the similarity in the player bios and, if all else fails maybe Matt A sells them on the Sport Management major if Mullin/Richmond, NYC, MSG, Big East etc. doesn't hit the spot

Hopefully it's a little more challenging than when I was there...

Nice to see Freudenberg majoring in Business and Alibegovic in English

FIBA provides barefoot measurements (in centimetres) just like any physical examination so if you want to know the barefoot height of Mussini, Sima and Freudenberg all you need to do is check their FIBA listed height. ;)
Freudenberg stands 6'8.5'' (2.04 m) tall but is listed as 6'9. However, Richard is only 18 and likely will grow to 6'10 by sophomore year. Mussini is 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m) but his short wing span makes him look shorter.
Yankuba Sima however was measured at 6-9 (206cm) but I believe he has grown to 6'10. Amar is actually 6'7.
As many know, height is relative to wing span so the wider the wing span, the "taller" a player actually plays.

Thank you interesting Elijah Hollfield is attending School of Education and no majors provided for Yakwe and Sima . Major in Business is at Tobin and major in Business Administration is CPS

And, apparently, they measure Italian guards in stilettos.

I really like his game expecting a big yr from him! perhaps he grew lol Its not how big or tall you are its how you play the game Yes I know about his D but other things he does makes up for it like his shooting. But that said I do not remember Gail goodrich being a great defender but he had rebounders and shot blockers in
front of him
