I didn't want to derail or blow up the Ibine Ayo Sadiku thread with more talk about Riverside Church's AAU program and I had started to reminisce about them and the Bronx Gauchos, two of the top AAU programs in the country fin the 80's and 90's.

Former Riverside Church AAU players to play for St. John's include, Mullin, Berry, Sealy, Metta World Peace (Artest) M. Jackson, Green, Cook, S. Scott, Shaw, Cuffe. Jessie, Barkley and Gray.

Thanks very much SJU85

Bob Hope- Thanks for the Memories
Joe Franklin - Memory Lane
Dean Martin - Memories are Made of This
The Rivingtons - Remember Then

I get it - that some posters probably have no clue who these people are or how exactly they relate to your post!

I think the freshman Mullin had about 14 points in his first Alumni Hall game
I remember Louie saying he’ll take the first of three NYC point guards and Mark Jackson was the first to commit
I can still see the sports article on how Sealy might commit to Rick Pitino at Providence
I remember Sonny Dove announcing the Redmen game on radio the night before his tragic demise and drowning in the Gowanis Canal

Yep, memories

Go Storm!
