RIP. Did not know him personally but his family sat in the same row as mine for quite some time. Always had a hello when walking in the aisle past him.

So sad to hear this news today…what an absolute gem of an individual and family man. He always had a smile and a hello courtside at Carnesecca and MSG. Bob also used to travel to many away games on the team charter and stayed at the team hotel with us . Condolences to the Kalenka family and may he Rest in Peace

Wow.....really sorry to hear this. I know exactly where he sat at Carnesecca....Section-9, center court about four or five rows back. Did not know him, but he had many visitors during games. Seems like a great loss for the SJU family.

Sad news. Bob loved the basketball program and St. John's. He's done so much for the university and truly one of the good ones. A great loss for our community. May he RIP.

I am a bit heart broken. Bobby was a great guy as is his brother Rich. They were Phi Kappa Theta brothers and in my wedding party. They were great Jonny fans even back then in the Mullin Jackson era. Bobby was also a great all county player and shoot the lights out in our intermural games in alumni hall. I lost contact as I moved away from NY bur rest assured he is missed, Rest in peace my friend till we meet again in heaven.
