Another tough one to swallow. Damn, the hits just keep on coming.

I hated him on the Big Red Machine after they destroyed my Yankees. Got past the anger and respected and admired him as a player. Those teams were great and built well and he, hitting in the second spot was a huge part of it.

Loved him as a broadcaster and personality.

This has been a horrible year for so many, many, many reasons, but the baseball greats have been getting hit hard especially hard lately.

RIP Joe.

"Our" beloved Yankees. lol. Loved that Reds team will they swept us, then hated them. But they were a tough team to hate for long, because all the players were so talented, so likable, played so hard and were so much fun to watch.

I was very young during the 1975 and 1976 seasons but recall some of the World Series highlights that my father and brother shared with me. I just looked at his stats from those years and had no idea he had an OPS over 1.000 in 1976. His strong early career with Houston was also unknown to me. I loved him as an announcer and I can't believe that part of his career ended 10 years ago. Its been a really tough year.

One of the most distinctive stances ever, along with Yaz and Dick McAuliffe.. Funny - all were lefties.

Was absolutely a devastating player with the Reds - could do it all.

Bobby Tolan and Reggie Smith both had that odd stance the way they held the bat up high

Agree on Rose, although I believe he belongs in the HOF.

I'll give you Rose

Just with the guys who passed away in 2020 you'd have the beginnings of a heck of an all time team - Kaline, Brock, Seaver, Ford, Morgan. That's a really great start for any team.
