RIP Eddie Money

I had one brush with him. When I was at St. John's in the 80s, I was a fan. I went to visit my dad in Woodland Hills, CA. I had actually heard Eddie Money lived there and I randomly but not seriously, thought I might see him. There was this local market right nestled between houses in the suburban neighborhood which is not all that common in the San Fernando valley like it is other places... But I'm in the store and I hear this NY accent talking to the shop owner like they are good friends and have known each other a long time. I'm thinking this guys sounds just like Eddie Money. As I walk up to pay for my stuff I see it is actually Eddie Money. He's in ratty shorts and t-shirt with his hair bleached but definitely him. He kind of smiles at me while backing up behind some shelves. This was when he was really famous so he probably didn't want to be bothered. I left him alone despite the inclination to start "Shakin". Nothing major but just a memory and it was cool to see him... RIP Eddie Money. Hopefully he's in Paradise.

I didn’t realize he passed, so thanks for posting it Paul. Sad day in the music world when we lose the money man.
