RIP Dick Barnett, 88

Dave Stallworth (who was slim and not built like a Wes Unseld) was 7 inches and 75 pounds less than Wilt and did a great job guarding him. But for some reason, Wilt chose not to exploit the size difference, and didn't take it to him as much as he should have. He finished with 24 points.

Apology for going off topic.

Pearl did a wonderful job of adjusting his game to play successfully with Clyde though which I’ve always admired him for.
I'm sure that my memory warped thus, but..

In their very first game together, maybe the very first game together Monroe and Frazier puched the ball upcourt. Monroe shook a couple of defenders on right side of the court, then froze the last defender in front of him with a hesitation dribble, then threw a perfect threw his legs bounce pass to Clyde for a layup.

In that one play, he showed that the Rolls Royce backcourt mates could not only co-exist but thrive.
