RIP Bob Wolff

Will always associate him with the great Reed, Clyde, Pearl.... teams. Great man & true pro. I loved this shot;

Immediately think of him calling Knicks games on Channel 9 in the late '60s, early '70s. Can still clearly hear that great voice calling games. A class act.

And as most know, He also called the Yankees' Don Larsen's perfect game in the World Series
(1956?)
And a New Yorker!
I did not realize - Imagine interviewing Babe Ruth & Derek Jeter - talk about longevity...but beyond all of the games called...
Bob Wolff was just so down to earth, kind & caring and thereby so very likeable!
Blessings and yes
Rest In Peace Bob!
96 years old - wow!

I wonder if the video or audio of that interview with Ruth still exists

couldn't find the Ruth interview. Will the Mick do?

Did Bob Wolff have a connection to Alma Mater? I know that legendary Bob Sheppard did, but I thought Bob Wolff did too?

For a time in the 60's, 70's it seemed Bob Wolff popped up everywhere.

Always came across a real classy gentleman.

As Tina Turner sang, Bob Wolff was Simply the Best, especially as a human being.

So St. John's had Bob Shepherd and Bob Wolff......take that!, Michael Kay and Mike Breen and all you Fordhamites!

Notice I didn't mention a certain soon-to-be-retiring Alum.
