Rick Pitino Considering Hiring Message Board Posters As Special Consultants

New St John’s University Men’s Basketball Coach Rick Pitino is considering hiring message board posters as special consultants as he assembles his new roster. Speaking with the NY Post Pitino commented “I think I spoke too soon at my press conference when I referenced bringing in 6-8 new players. In retrospect I should have read the message boards prior to making that statement”. Pitino acknowledged that although he has coached for decades the knowledge base of the message board knows more than him about what players to keep. “St John’s university has a great fan base and I need to tap into that. I intend to reach out to get their input on what players would fit in best in my system”. Pitino stated he now realizes the information he received from the coaching staff as well as his review of game videos combined with his individual discussions with players is not enough. “From today forward I will be reading the boards to get a real sense of which players I should retain”

Rick seems to have already made his decision. He wants Soriano, Storr and Drissa back. The rest will be in the portal shortly.

Cragg needs to follow CRP's lead. Posters have been trying to advise him for a while. :)
 
I for one trust the hall of fame coach to make the roster decisions. Look I know we all have strong attachments to all the kids on this team not named Curbelo but just let Pitino and his staff do their job I put all my faith in them to make the right decisions. We will have Great kids coming here just give it time.
 
Thank god Father Shanely didnt do something like this during the coach search, some posters here would’ve gotten us to hire Robert Jones

We are not preventing Pitino and staff from doing their jobs. In fact, we have no impact at all on them doing their jobs. All we do is voice our opinions on a message board. This is not directed at you, but anyone who can't handle others voicing their opinion, should take a hike.
