As part of the deal, Bodyarmor co-founder Mike Repole will collaborate on the company’s still beverages portfolio. Repole also founded Vitaminwater, Smartwater and Energy Brands, all of which are now owned by Coke. Repole and BodyArmor President Brent Hastie will also stick around to help Bodyarmor in its quest to overtake Gatorade.

What a personal/business success story he is.

Just wish one day soon, the relationship/bridge can be rebuilt between him and the current administration.  Take away his brashness, and the potential donations he can offer, there is little doubt that he can bring a fresh perspective to building the program in a non-traditional way.

I don't drink sports beverages regularly, but when I did used to drink Gatorade...never drank Powerade. Maybe two years ago, I tried BodyArmor for the first time... It was noticeably better than Gatorade to the point that I don't think I'd ever buy Gatorade again unless I was real thirsty and option was limited.

Self made billionaire.  Good for him. As other have said, hope he and the school can mend their relationship. It would be good for both parties, but even more so for the school and the basketball program. Yeah he rubs some people the wrong way sometimes, but lots of successful people do. Boosters like Mike Repole don't grow on trees around here. At Duke, Kentucky, etc, but not around here.

Let's be honest. While I've done well for myself over the years my best story isnt even in your top 5 stories. lol

Honestly, you have to hand it to the guy, the first sale, well, after that he could have just sat around and counted his money.

Nope, a driven self-made entrepreneur, he does it again a few years later.

He's probably going to hit it big again.

Exactly. I'll be honest I consider myself driven I worked my first 8 years in finance without taking 1 day off literally not one day ( except sundays and holidays ) and it was 10 years till my first vacation ( that's why I make up for lost time before pandemic and travel the world ) but if I was Repole I would have retired after the first sale. But I have a client exactly like him. I dont know him but I know literally someone who could be his brother. They are driven they feel slighted that people took them for granted when they were younger they want to beat everyones brains in who ever doubted them and they see biz as a battle. There is no win or lose there is only win. Its not just about money it's about being the best and beating everyone that ever doubted you and if you aren't beating someone then somehow you might be doubted
