a number of years ago Paul had a wonderful statistical history of SJU games going back into the 50's. Unfortunately someone corrupted the web site and all that info was lost. is there any way that the present members can work together to reclaim or recreate that history of SJU basketball?

As part of the new site "Twentieth Anniversary Edition" (TAE) there are some new features that I have not made public yet. Some of these will go under the new "Fun" menu. I started reworking the old database data several years ago and in the past couple of years recreated this in a new database structure and recently finished this as a fully functional, working app for the new TAE. The stats actually go back to the very beginning which I believe was 1907-08 season but some of the early seasons the data is sparse. I'm not sure it exists anywhere.
This includes box scores, player data, team/coach data, opponent data that was all part of the original, custom database application that we created 15+ years ago - before pretty much ANY much less an independent sports website was doing so. For that matter, before most of the current sports sites and networks even existed.
Over the first few years a few guys made major contributions to this effort. @espken# in particular must have logged a few thousand hours on it.
So the good news is that most of this is ready to go. However when I did make this available I was going to do so as a "Beta" for a few reasons. First is that the data does not include the history of the past several seasons. There are only so many hours in a day and I have not had time to keep it updated. Since the data is relative to itself, it needs to be current for things like the Wins/Losses records for an opponent to be accurate. So I will need some volunteers to help with data entry to get it up to date, and some volunteers to help manage it moving forward.
