As a kid, I remember Johnny Valentine going back and forth from being a good guy to a bad guy almost every week
 
If you were at the game when they honored his 2000 points just prior to tipoff, he could hardly contain his own happiness. It reminds me of his silliness in the oft shown t-shirt toss, where has catches 7 or 8 t-shirts and unable to hold them any more, tosses them in the air with a huge grin on his face.

It reminds me that he arrived here an angry young man, and is about to leave here having salvaged and savored the last moments of his boyhood. It's been a great thing to witness.
