just watched the msg video from yesterday.
the looks on Lavin's and the senior's faces says it all.
have to watch it again.

Watch that Xavier video from the 5:35 mark on. If that doesn't bring a smile to your face then nothing will. So cool

Thanks for posting the video of the Senior Day celebration. It really does tell a great story:
1). The players are all graduating
2). The guys standing out there with DLo since his family could not attend. What a beautiful showing of support and friendship
3). The hugs and huge smile on Rysheed's face. He appears to be a wonderful teammate and friend to these guys
4). Lavin looked like a proud Dad, and as well he should.

I have been an SJU fan my whole life. I graduated in 1988 (hence my handle!) and until I moved to LA 10 years ago, was a season ticket holder and attended almost every game.
Following this team the past few years has been frustrating at times but mostly exciting, nail biting and just plain fun. For me, it's a wonderful escape from a lot of the crap going on in the world. I am thankful that we are in a revamped league with a deal with Fox that allows me to see every game, which was not the case for us West Coasters.
I am looking forward to the rest of the ride. It's been a total blast.

Thank you, NYCRedmen. The video of the seniors left me, to borrow a word from Mike Meyers, verklempt. Seeing it has made my day.

Agree on all counts

Rysheed was leading the cheers among players and also reaching out to family and friends of those honored. He's come a very long way these past couple of months. Come tourney time, he will almost be a junior in experience and his growth from game 1 till now is considerable in all ways.

The affection between Lavin and each of his seniors is evident.

The players mobbed D'Angelo before he went out. Also to his credit, before going out he made sure he hugged every single coach, not just those in the path to midcourt. Very sweet gesture for the other seniors to come out with him to halfcourt.

Geez, I just basically reiterated what you said. I really like this team

Thanks NYCREDMAN for an amazing video that was better than my view from very good seats.

A special thank you to the SJU ticket department. When my printed ticket wouldn't scan, MSG personnel sent me to multiple windows and finally to the SJU ticket desk. One of Melissa's graduate assistants saw how visibly upset I was over coming close to missing senior day ceremonies. She walked me back to the ticket window despite being pretty busy and straightened it out immediately rather than wait for a call back from Melissa. I believe her name is Amanda and she gets a special thank you - and she got me into MSG on time.

Top 5 from the Georgetown game. There's just something special about hearing Marv Albert calling a game from The Garden.
