Primo is being much more agressive , hopefully he will establish a presence down low . Nice to see us penetrate and dish although i'm surprised at who is doing the dishing ( Dlo) .Three pointers increasing but from new sources .

I was hoping you were going to say that the schedule was revised and Saint John's was playing Dartmouth in a home and home series.

I think Orlando has had a bad rep because the team has been playing so poorly. He has not played as well as I expected/hoped this season but I dont think he has been terrible either. I think his play will continue to improve.

For a guy who supposedly has NBA caliber talent, he HAS been terrible this season
For that matter, so has anyone else that people thought might turn pro after this season
There is nobody on our roster that is NBA ready (or even close to it)

So since he is not an NBA talent, do you think he has played terrible?

I didn't buy that he is a finished NBA product, but I absolutely enjoy watching him play when he is playing well. He can put the ball on the floor and go strong to the basket. Even when he does that he is always aware of where teammates are, and will dish in an instant. He has a soft jumper from the outside, and I think he is a much better shooter than he has shown. I also love to see him push the ball up and lead the break. He keeps the ball in the middle of the floor, keeps his head up, and is totally aware of teammates filling the lanes. I know he has been inconsistent (understatement), but I really like his game.

Orlando should not have a bad rep since Orlando is doing what everyone should have realistically expected he would be doing. There is a reason why Orlando is here and not playing for pay in Europe, where he was living for a number of years before he came here. He was a JC honorable mention AA, not a first team stud like many were making him out to be. At almost 26 year old, and based on what we've seen so far, I am not holding out much hope that he's going to be anything more than what he's shown.

Don't blame the kid for not playing like an NBA talent. He wasn't the one who put that label on him.

37-46 from the line as a team the last two games.

I know it didn't put us over the top against Providence, but if we keep shooting like that from the line, we'll rack up some wins, guaranteed.

If these bright spots continue, I would suggest seeing an opthamologist.

"The sudden appearance of these symptoms could mean that the vitreous is pulling away from your retina or that the retina itself is becoming dislodged from the inner back of the eye that contains blood, nutrients and oxygen vital to healthy function. When the retina is torn, vitreous can invade the opening and push out the retina — leading to a detachment."

I watched the Dartmouth game and did not experience any such symptoms... but the beer at half time helped calm my nerves.

Been there done that 4 times in my right eye.
Not fun.

I appreciate the upbeat title of the thread. But other then our free throws and the descent play of Gift the bright spots are few and far between.

Orlando would do better working in a structured offense, which has anyone seen? Absent that, he doesn't get the ball much from our guards, except JORDAN, in a low post where he can do damage..

Our guards are not pass oriented, except JORDAN,,, and the more I see Rysheed, playing pg is not his natural slot. He's done a credible job but, we really still need that natural PG that the NYC playgrounds use to excel at developing.. but, since we're not recruiting NYC or, anywhere for that matter, it seems we will live with what we have.

Branch is a natural PG but, something isn't right about him not playing more, even with lackluster play.

It's hard to figure Lavin, as we've painfully learned.
