Ray Rice ko's fiance video

The video is indeed shocking and the goings on reprehensible but I'm wondering what everyone thought had happened in there based on the previous video of him dragging his unconscious girlfriend out of the elevator? Did they think he knocked her out with noogies? It takes quite a bit to knock someone out, even a girl. The penalty has always been too lax. This video changes nothing but public perception really. The victim failed her gender by downplaying the incident to protect her fiance's future earnings, the NFL failed the nation by not taking abuse more seriously and Ray Rice failed as a human being period.

Good thing he didn't go to St John's. Otherwise the University would've trotted him out for an alumni fundraising event just like they did with Jayson Williams.

There was a funny debate on the Rutgers message board this morning on whether the program should keep Ray Rice in its "Rutgers in the NFL" promotional video.

Now it's moot.

what pisses me off even more if its possible is the lack of concern that Dick had after she got knocked out. It looked like she hit her head on that metal railing and that f&*ing idiot doesn't have a concern in the world

how anyone could do that is mind boggling

After he murdered Costas Christofi?

Great post! Agree with everything you said!

A problem I foresee with the new rules put in place by Goodell of 6 games for first domestic violence offense and lifetime ban for a second offense is treating all incidents equally. There is a difference between say pushing someone to the ground or slapping them and beating someone unconscious or to a bloody pulp. For the latter you should be out for first offense and not given the chance to repeat such a serious offense.

We can only pray they are correct. If so it will be a fun season.
