1-10 as far as where your seats are if you are with your friends still and the ease of the actual buying process and yes the communication.

And what idea you might have if you weren’t happy to make it better for next time they do it

For me personally a 10. School called me multiple times and got emails and they text me. Most important our whole full season 114 crew is together in 114

Totally get others might not be as happy so suggestions or how you’d rank it. School might be reading this

I had no prior communication at all but I didn't bother contacting them. If they were contacting people first, then I would be upset since I was in the top 90 or so. So either they thought I am a computer savant or were just ignoring me...who knows.

But I had no problem with the process at all so i'd give that part a 9 or so. Everybody knows the rules.

I'm definitely not a tech guy so the biggest surprise for me was the ease of getting the seats so quickly and I appreciate they had the seating charts with seats filled and open available beforehand. 8 minutes tops to buy for me

The only thing would be that it would have been great if we still had access to that seating chart after we picked so we could still keep an eye for friends that were picking other days. But not a big deal

But needed to get my friend on the msg ticket package waiting list and literally took just a text to the person who works there and he's on her list a minute later. Great service

10.

I received emails all the way through the process. I new where I was on the priority list. It helped that I was not looking to upgrade my seats (I'm in 114).

On the day of the selection I was watching the seat I wanted prior to picking. When I tried to pick a single seat on the aisle I got a message that I couldn't pick an aisle seat if I was selecting only 1 seat. I called the ticket office and they selected the seat for me without a problem. the whole process took less than 10 minutes and I got the ticket in MSG and CA that I wanted.

The hardest part was trying to figure out where to pick seats in CA, since we were trying to sit with 10+ people picking a different times throughout the week. We got lucky and everyone got in the same row. Also, I moved my seat from the crappy fake seat backs.

Since the crappy seatbacks are still there and it is mentioned the school might be reading this thread. I ask again - why were they not removed? This was the absolute perfect time to remove them, it can’t cost much to do so, and they would have picked up a seat per row at a time when CA can sell out.

In the end since the software driving ticket selection was ticketmasters, its not surprising that it worked pretty well. The process was more daunting for early selectors since they didn't know what to expect and having to pay for CA first was not clear.

Grading the whole thing (0-100)

Seat selection software: 90. The views from your seat not that accurate and it would have been nice if there was a best available option. Having to check out and pay for CA was not so apparent. But everything else worked fine.

Pricing: Grade 90. considering a 31-5 return to prominence season, a HOF national coach of the year, and a top rated incoming cla$$, the increases were expected. My seats didn't change much. I could have bought floor seats at msg, but couldn't justify the huge price jump. Also if i moved just 1 row down at CA my tix jumped 65% per seat. No thanks.

Support: grade 100. SJU promised all hands on deck and they delivered with immediate, intelligent, and friendly support.

Advance Communication: grade 70 (generous). Advance tutorials, informative emails, and promise of the great support they delivered were largely absent. Pricing came late, priority points calculated wrong several times, and calendar dates missed.

Overall avg score: 87.5. B plus. Without the advance problems, avg score 93.25. Solid A

If I wasnt able to move to lower bowl, I would have gladly helped them remove those things.

I’d like to preface this by saying it is appreciated and not unnoticed that the athletic department lead by Mike Cragg had very good intentions with the seatbacks and tried to do their best with a difficult situation. However, after a few years it is now crystal clear now that the project was a failure. After they were installed my brother and I lasted one game before moving down to the bleachers. It is frankly shocking just how uncomfortable these “seatbacks” are. Unfortunately, we will be back in them now after the reseating. I know firsthand the athletic department is well aware of the fans’ disapproval and frustration with the “seatbacks”. They are looking into removing them and going back to bleachers as soon as possible. I, for one am praying they will be removed in time for the 2026-27 season.

For a few IPAs if someone from the school wants to leave the door unlocked I’ll bring some members here and remove them free of charge

5/10. My seats didn’t really move meaningfully. I also didn’t donate anything extra, bc it was unclear what that would get me. I also had to read a bunch of emails (and emails correcting those emails) for a process that didn’t move my seat or gain the school any money. The software worked, but it was just a waste of my time.

I didn’t have an issue with them at all. But then again I don’t have season tix.
