James J. Coyle passed away peacefully on May 8, 2016 in the loving hands of the staff at the Wexford Assisted Living, Spring Lake. Jim enjoyed his past time at the Wexford the care, food and camaraderie of his co-residents. He was born in Flatbush in 1933, was a retired pressman for the NY Times. He was a graduate of Rice High School where he was all city basketball player then going on to play for St. Johns, Philadelphia Spars, Washington Generals touring the Harlem Globe Trotters in the 1950s, appearing briefly in the movie "Go Man Go". He loved horse racing and Atlantic City more recently four days a week and was a devoted member of the Elks Club.
